Crazy, Yet Profitable Purchases

Here are just a few of Jason’s craziest yet most profitable purchases. He is like a big kid who gets a toy that no one else has, loves it for a while and then sells it for a considerable amount more than he bought it for. He finds the most amazing and alarming things to buy – yet somehow finds someone else who wants them more than he does and is willing to cough up the dough. Seriously, these huge things have been in our home and in our yard before.

Did I Mention The Pirate?

I forgot to mention the pirate in yesterday’s entry.  This guy is currently on our front porch waiting to be bought.  The kids got a laugh out of it when they came home.  Funny how they don’t think a six and half foot tall life sized pirate statue is a strange thing to have on their front porch.  They have seen crazier things when they come home.

Quiet Sunday Afternoon

Posted by Seana under BLOG

As if yesterday wasn’t crazy enough!  Our Sunday morning started very quietly and then Jason’s phone rang and he walked into the other room.  Next thing he is telling me that he wants to show me something on the computer.  Next thing I know, we are leaving the house to go to Beverly Hills to pick up some life sized statues.  The statues were being sold for unbelievable prices.  The only reason why I agreed was because I knew that Jason would get them for a steal and re-sell them for top dollar (if not more).  Here is what was purchased today.  Yes, these items are currently in our backyard and on our patio.  Thanks to our friends we were able to pick up everything today.

Here is what a typical Saturday looks like at the Smith’s residence.  A crane in the driveway and an oversized barbeque island on a flatbed trailer on the street.  My crazy husband got a phenomenal deal (he is known for gettting these) on a beautiful barbeque island.  It is worth at least 3 times what he paid for it.  The barbeque island was delivered and the crane arrived about 10 minutes later.  Nothing weird about that is there???

Without question – This is not the first time nor will it be the last time that a crane is contacted to hoist large objects over our house and into our backyard.  That is how my crazy husband gets things done!  He turns the impossible into possible with a phone call.  As the neighbors drove and walked by the house they just kind of gave me that look of – here we go again…
