I am a native of Southern California and have lived here all of my life. At the age of 42 years old was shockingly diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2011.
I wear a number of hats in this life. Here is a brief description of each of them.
WIFE – I married my second husband fourteen days after I met him. My divorce from my first husband became final on August 3, 2007. I met my second husband on the Internet 20 days after my divorce had been finalized. On the second date he proposed to me and I shockingly said “yes”. Eleven days later we eloped. We hopped on a plane and flew to Reno, NV and then drove to Lake Tahoe to be married. We were taken to Emerald Bay on a boat, took a hike and were married by the captain of the boat right next to a waterfall. It was just the three of us in one of the most majestic places I had ever experienced. Both of us wore jeans, tennis shoes, white hoodies and baseball hats. Best wedding ever!!!!
MOTHER – I have 4 children. 2 children ages 12 and 10 from my prior marriage. 1 child age 18 who is my husband’s daughter from his prior marriage and 1 child from our marriage. WE ARE DONE!
FRIEND – I am blessed to have a great number of people who I am grateful to call my friends. We are always there for each other and would extend ourselves in order to assist them in any time of need, as they would do for us.
EXECUTIVE – I have worked very hard to climb the ladder in the entertainment industry. I love my work. I was made to do what I do.
COMMUNICATOR – I am a detailed storyteller. This blog is my voice. It was my voice early on in my marriage when I was trying to acclimate to the new crazy individual that I loved so dearly. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2011 I began to blog about my experience with cancer. I am a communicator in my work as well. Talking, educating, mentoring, advising and listening are just some of the qualities I have always possessed and people have come to me for my opinion since I was 5 years old. I used to wonder why but now I realize. I was meant to be exactly who I am.
